About Us
It all started way back in 2004 when the very first Beyond the Valley store opened its doors to the public at 26 Ganton Street, London. Inspired by an old Hicktown Drugstore, the interior was quirky and creative, the perfect setting for the boutique developed for young designers to present their creativity, across the fashion, art, music and design genres.
Spring 2005 saw us proudly collect the Shell Livewire 'Young Entrepreneur
of the Year' Award for London South area. Following this we took our first foray into the ‘guerilla store’ concept. The location was The Helsinki Exchange in Bulevardi, which showcased work from 50 of our young designers. By summer, our success at Ganton Street led us to our current, larger home in Newburgh Street.
Today’s Newburgh Street boutique and gallery is a stepping stone for over 100 designers, providing a platform to showcase and test out product ranges. The innovative product range features collections by Yuko Yoshitake, Alejandra Quesada and Makin Jan Ma, lighting from Jake Phipps and edgy jewellery from Miss Bibi. Wallpaper, fine art, music, books and furniture have also now been introduced to the boutique. Much of our product range is exclusive, helping us to develop a reputation for showcasing some of the most interesting talent London has to offer and earning us the title of one of the UKs Coolbrands 2007/2008, alongside Vivienne Westwood and Dazed and Confused.
In addition to the boutique we hold regular exhibitions, host events and have recently launched our own Beyond the Valley clothing label. And our revamped Beyondthevalleystore.com is even better than before. You can buy online from the diverse collection and show your support for fresh, young, talented people.
