Brazilian brand Melissa have made their mark on the ubiquitous plastic jelly shoe over the last 30 years, selling variations on the original design in the most exclusive boutiques around the world and collaborating with luminary designers and architects Vivienne Westwood and Zaha Hadid among others. The company, who aim to manufacture according to high environmental standards, is also renowned in their native Sao Paolo for creating a book on sustainable practices in design– the first of it’s kind published in Brazil.
