MAAIKE MEKKING
Combining a future vision with a timeless aesthetic, Maaike Mekking's silhouettes aim to evoke 1930s Hollywood glamour through opulent fabrics while retaining an urban edge. Launching her self-titled label in 2007, Maaike completed an MA in womenswear at the Royal College of Art, going on to work for companies including Alberta Ferretti, Aganovich and Alexander McQueen. Maaike Mekking's distinctive designs have gained coverage in the publications The Guardian, Style magazine, I-D., Zoo, Interview and Nylon.
